Orientation Program at the Department of Fashion Design and Technology, Premier University.

An orientation program for the 7th batch of the BA in Fashion Design and Technology at Premier University was held at the university’s Dampara campus. The event took place on Monday, 13 October 2025, at 12:00 PM, with Mr. Sanjoy Kumar Dash, Chairman of the Department, presiding over the program.

Among the distinguished guests present were Professor Dr. Mohit Ul Alam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Mr. Mohammad Solaiman Chowdhury, Proctor of the university; Dr. Tasnim Uddin Chowdhury, Assistant Proctor; Mr. Mohammad Yunus, Associate Professor of the Department; and Mr. S. M. Tousif, Lecturer.

In his speech, Professor Dr. Mohit Ul Alam told the newly admitted students, “Your journey in this department begins today. This four-year voyage will shape your future. The discipline of fashion design is relatively new in our society. Previously, we only engaged in fashion and design, but the idea of studying it academically was once unimaginable. Now, several universities have opened departments on this subject. I believe the Department of Fashion Design and Technology at Premier University will play a vital role in building your bright future.” He described fashion design as a constantly evolving discipline and advised students to remain dedicated to their studies.

Proctor Mr. Mohammad Solaiman Chowdhury and Assistant Proctor Dr. Tasnim Uddin Chowdhury discussed the Code of Conduct of Premier University.

In his presidential address, Chairman Mr. Sanjoy Kumar Dash encouraged the students to study attentively and strive to become skilled designers.

Lecturer S. M. Tousif provided an overview of the department and informed the students about various academic rules and regulations.

Teachers and students of the department were present at the event.
